It seems to come from a reliable enough source. Possibly an import - would that make sense?

Not sure to be honest. UK cars are sold by the factory in pounds sterling regardless of where they are sold to so it shouldnt make it cheaper.

Plus with the current exchange rate I wouldnt have thought it would make that level of difference.

Even costed out that would be a substantial loss so there is something not right IMO

There have been rumours floating around for the last few weeks that there are big incentives being offerred on pre-ordered / unregistered stock.

Was speaking to a buyer for one of the big car groups last week and he told me that there were discounts available for cancelled and pre-orders; but it varied. There were limited numbers still available.

He also said that dealers may be asking for bigger deposits in the future as well owing to the number of late cancellations ..

How did you calculate the VAT.

is it not 17.5% of the price once the delivery charge, first reg fee and roadtax price has been deducted.

Has the car not still got the VAT included in the value, thats why its VAT qualifying.
