in this market?

depreciation!

other than that a good independant will keep the car on the road and serviced well for not silly money,

for examples, have a look at grimaldi engineerings site.

i've not had many issues with mine, front suspension can clonk sometimes, wiring harness and alternator went but thats about it...but if you want to track it then make sure you upgrades the pads hoses and fluid!

as said above, a good indie will save you a fortune, as will buying a GOOD car rather than the cheapest one on the market...off the top of my head:

Ball joints are common weakness - parts are £110 each, there's 8 of them on the car, generally the front 4 wear out every 10k miles unless you upgrade to the Hill Engineering items.

Clutch can be expensive (£1500 parts alone) and there is a known weakness in thrust bearing (£350) so you could drop £3K easy getting it fixed - buy a car with decent clutch history and preferably a Hill Engineering thrust bearing. F1 boxes eat clutches.

Not particularly hard on brakes - pads about £100 a set, discs about £150 each + fitting. Tyres - pzeros are soft and ste, will last 6K miles on rear.

Fuel - about 16-18mpg.

Servicing at main dealer - £850 to £1050 for 6k mile service, £1300 for 18K mile service.

Belts - need done every 3 years, not an engine out job on 360 so no big deal, about £400 at main dealer.

apart from that the drivetrain is pretty much bullet-proof, clutch cables need adjusting occasionally but can be a DIY job - generally a very reliable car and a huge step up in reliability for Ferrari.

Hi V8

Undecided yet I was at the mph show and the 360 looked quite nice and was cheaper, it has to be the Gallardo, r8 or the 360.

Since last month Gallardo’s have dropped another 2k it’s crazy that you can get 04 plate with for 59k eeekk…!!

All three are very different cars... I have been lucky enough to own all three and still have the 360 & r8 - What i would suggest is to go out and drive them and see which you get on best with - at the end of the day the 'cheapest' option isnt always the best imho. I guess as with everything depreciation is a small concern but at the end of the day its really not the bee all that ends all (again in my opinion) - When i take the 360 out a few times a month I dont tend to think god thats just cost me 1.5k i tend to laugh the whole way home and have a smile from ear to ear constantly. If you find the right car and pay a 'good' price then just enjoy it I say...
