would 35k mean its hiding big bills ? I was always under the impression that you needed ~45k for a good one yet there seem to be many in the classifieds at 35k and I have no idea if prices have come down this year..

take this one for example:

SH seems exemplary ? and cosmetically seems good as well

They can all hide big bills, regardless of price.
As said above, buy on condition and history.
Also, try and buy one that has been used rather than garaged. eg 4k miles pa is not a lot and these are getting on for over 10 years old. So I'd be wary of a '6,000 genuine mile' car. They may indeed be genuine but what else has been left to rot/perish?

You must always budget a good service and the unexpected on top of your purchase price, if you can only just afford the car - you may not be able to run it, that said they are reliable and if they have been used and well serviced they rarely have any unexpected costs, Check for full service history (or at least a well documented one) Hpi it, and get a professional inspection done. thats about all you can do. Happy shopping!

buy as late a car as possible - £35k for a '95 is too much imo

£35k is a decent budget for a 355 I think.
There are 360's in the mid to high 30's now...

I've been looking around recently until I realised that the damn thing is too wide for my garage. Not a happy bunny.

Hollingsworth in Ombersley have a few for sale at the moment. A Blue TdF GTB and a Yellow GTB. Both proper manual cars in very good condition and both registered in 1999. One's £35, the other £40.

They seem very good value, just wish they weren't so bloody wide at the back!!!

Think I read on another forum a 360 is not as wide as a 355. Is that right? Maybe you can squeeze one of these in your garage.

Prices are sinking like bricks. The very best 355 spiders are now up for £45k. There are at least two excellent cars at that price that are not shifting.

£35k should buy you a very good car without issues. Shop around and negotiate hard.

Terrible market right now.

Oh, and make sure you PPI it.

From a thread I started regarding 355 width, I was informed that a 360 is wider. Both will go through a single garage door despite what wikipedia says. You just need more width inside so you can get in and out!!

I can see very slight bubbling on the AC unit, but IMHO this should NOT be a reason to pass on an F355.

If you have bubbling, try this company...

P.S. Take a can opener to it, then it would be perfect ;-) Like this...
