I need to get a battery conditioner for the 355 as it is in storage somewhere else for the winter and it wont get a huge ammount of use so I have two questions :

Which conditioner / charger do people suggest I have been looking at these :

and where do you fit one to a 355 is it best for a cigar lighter connection or direct to the battery or to the remote points ?

Any advice welcome

Thanks

I use accumates (last 10 years or so) for my car & bikes that are kept in the garage very reliable units (Carcoon use these as well).
For the F355 I used the cig socket the window just open a small crack to let the lead in with the unit mounted on the wall bracket. You could use the remote terminals in engine bay with croc clips and feed the wires through the vents but the actual battery would be a sod as it is in the RHF wheelarch.
My CS has a power socket that is not active without ignition so I have put the accumate terminals on the battery(it is in the passenger footwell in the 360) and fed the wires out to a the footwell for easy access.
Hope this helps.

I would recommend the accumate also, they work well and have never let me down. personally I put a charging jack under the bonnet, I would not leave a long term charger on the connections in the engine bay,

Tim what is a charging jack?
Never did use the terminals in the engine bay when I had my F355.
I have put the proper accumate terminals onto the battery on my CS this leaves a safe 2 pin connector with rubber cover for the extension lead from the accumate to be joined onto when the car is in the garage.

Accumate works great, just connect to jump start points under right hand cover in engine. Can still close the rear lid on top of cables.

Optimate or Accumate will keep batteries in tip top condition for over a year. (too many toys, not enough playtime)
