Anyone know this one?
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/LAMB...

The front end concerns me a bit.

1) A 1998 with open headlamps?
2) The black "eye liner" detail is missing (although not 100% of cars had this)
3) The front spot lights are missing.

Possible its got a new front end.

Although phtotos don't show much, it looks a clean car otherwise.

Maybe the front end should like this...

There are only two yellow RHD factory open headlamp SV's in the U.K. The car for sale isn't one of them.

I remember a car on "CarandClassic" web site 6 months ago that was a CAT C that was re-built with an open head front. Thought that was a 96 car though? Reckon this car has been smashed and front re-made. leaving out the fog lights in unforgiveable.

The open light cars looks much better than the pop-up lights.
I wonder why they didn't do it from the start.
They do look great in yellow.cool

Taken at Carlos? The roadster was owned by David of D14BLO fame.
Love pic

reckon he must have changed the wheels over at that point. As that roadster had silver roadster wheels beforehand and the SV has roadster wheels.

That's right Pete.

I have been after the Arancio 6.0 SE (also once owned by David) for the last 3 years. I have first refusal if it ever comes up for sale.

Was talking to him about his silver 6.2 roadster a while back. But price was higher than dealers prices at the time.
He's brought some amazing car into the UK market.

Well overpriced at that mileage don't you think Pete? If it was fully original with lower miles maybe. Carlo has the orange 98 arancio car at £70k.

Hi Craig,

I think the price wouldn't be high if it was an original car. Not keen on cars that are re-make/updated. Don't think the mileage is high. They're still getting better to drive at that mileage.

I don't know if it is the same car, but I saw one in a body shop a few years back where the owner was modifying a yellow diablo to put in open headlights, and was respraying a lot of the rest of the car. The car didn't look damaged, but most of the panels were off. I didn't know anything about Diablos then, so I don't know if it is the same car, or even an SV.

If it is the same car I would check the work as they didn't do a good job on my 928.

Very likely to be the same car although I know that one car was converted after a CAT C. So either the car you viewed was accident damaged (and repaired before you saw it) or there are two of them knocking around.

I know that Naz of parellel designs (replica lambo makers) said he has converted one.

The 98 SV at Carlo's was my old car that I specced in late 97 - first coupe fitted with Roadster wheels (I'd had issues with my Five Spoke SV wheels - the OZ type on my then 96 SV).

that Roadster was ex-Rod Stewart...quite sure he doesn't buy used cars, could be wrong, times might have been hard for the guy...

Carlo took that image a while ago - all 3 Diablos are different yellows!

That plate was also on a yellow SV closed headlight version too. And it didn't have the eye liner, but it did have the circular fuel cap.

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but not all the closed headlight versions had the circular petrol cap like the open headlight versions. The one advertised has this cap!

Here's 2 more yellow SV's with closed headlamps and the cap.
