If your looking at iPod being your music media take a look at the Alpine iDA-X100. Has no CD but you can control the iPod from the head unit and it works really well - only circa £279 as well!
It can also have a bluetooth module added to give you hands free phone conection.

Take a look: http://www.alpine-europe.com/alpinefullspeed/

Looking bloody bling as well - shame I just can't hear it in the Murcielago!

I know some garages will fit a iPod connector in your car. I looked at getting one done in my 911. I got a quote of about £250 for the work. They said all you would need to do is plug the ipod into the glove box and you’re away. I personally thought it was a waste of money, seeing as itrips are about £20 from currys and work just as well. All you do is plug the itrip into the cigarette lighter, tune your radio and that’s you.

Hope that helps, here’s a link to show you the product I’m talking about.

iTrips do not work just as well as a cabled solution. Fact (I have used both extensively). iTrips can be a reasonable solution but this is dependent on the car and where/when you're driving, and will never, ever sound as good as a hard wired iPod.

Also, listening to a car's exhaust is great. If you only do 1k miles a year. If you use the car a lot, you will inevitably get stuck in traffic. At such times, having something other than the irritating tts that seem to monopolise radio presenting these days is definitely a good idea.

And should you happen to get someone of the fairer sex in the passenger seat, you will be unlikely to see them again (let alone get any further with them) if you note that they should be grateful listening to your Tubi when they ask where the tunes are...

Alpine's kit is very good at iPod control IME, and the head units are generally much better than the crap Ferrari fit as standard. Look into Alpine speaker upgrades too as this also makes a difference.

Alpines gear is excellent. Some of them have full operation of ipods, charge and give outstanding sound quality. Some even show full ipod screen. Really recommend one, and they are good value.

As for itrips they can work well but can also be absolute rubbish. Going into london they are almost a total waste of time as there are too many radio stations. They also dont charge so if running for a while you will have a dead battery. The sound quality is NEVER as good as a cable link.
