I think you answered your own question in a way, Italian machinery works better when used. driving
Why did it have warranty work? and what work needed doing?

... hard luck with that chum, hope things are sorted for you and your great car soon!

I'll stick my neck out and suggest that, when the weather cleans up sometime soon, you should get in your Gallardo and spank it up and down some good roads - Lamborghinis were never meant to be garage queens, 'specially not (almost) new ones!

Also, why not join LCUK? We might have the information and the assistance options you need to get the best from your car... We'll certainly have the best shoulders to cry on and best runs out and 'stuff' when your Gallardo is feeling better!

edited to add - just seen your profile, whereabouts in the North West are you??

welcome !

my car's had crap on the exhaust sensors, a detached screen wash pipe and a hub cap fall off
apart from that it's been perfect
8k miles in 13 months, neither mollycoddled nor abused
i'm one of the silent and very happy majority

what, specifically, have been your car's issues

Thaks for that, what model is yours? Mine is the 520bhp with every opitional extra ie from, lifting gear to reverse camera.Love my car and feel a million dollers in it,but seems to have gremlins. I had no problems with my previous car -Porsche 996 turbo which was bullet proof in comparison!

mine's a december 2007 superleggera
perceived build quality, finish and, so far, reliability, are wholly comparable to my 996

My exhaust sensors had to be replaced, not once but twice, and even now as I speak the handbrake has had new cables, but still cant park it on a slight hill without leaving it in gear, any suggestions? My car is I suppose a garage queen as i dont have much time to drive it, but when doing so you dont want to see the engine managment light on!

Manchester Lamborghini's decision to see if it would cure the problem - it didn't.

laugh Didn't realise there was an etiquette of how you have to describe your employ?? What does that have to do with owning a lambo? If you own a prestige car of that value, I for one would not advertise where I work - hope you like the picture.

I have worked hard enough & fortunate in affording what I thought was my dream car. As I am honest enough and open minded to be able to point out Lamborghini's faults - not easy when I have spent in excess of 120k. I have spoken to lamborghini assistance who are the RAC & then pass the job on to FAM. The nightmare stories I have been told are numerous. Therefore I can only go off my own experiences & those I have been told eg the clutch failing at 3k... what's that about?
The car is a stunner & the performance is awesome. However the reliability leaves a lot to be desired. If the reliabilty matched it's looks, I would be happier than I am at the moment.

I was just making a very generalised comment about the size of wages in the motor industry tongue out No offence meant, I know there are many highly paid jobs in the motor industry too, I just wish I could have one of them and I also wish I could have a lambo, so basically, I'm just jealous hehe And yes, that picture looks pretty awesome, haven't seen those wheels on a lambo before - capristos with polished outer rim?? Now go out there and get driving it driving
