I'm guessing this is either an amazing bargain or a complete money pit. But it is in TBF blue with a tan interior...

What do you think?

High mileage (in Ferrari terms) plus V12 = low price. Could be a perfectly sound car. I wonder if the bonnet's not closed properly or if there's a more sinister issue as the gap around the left headlamp looks different to the gap around the right one.

The mileage isn't THAT bad for a 456 - I've seen 100k+ cars for quite some time (good to know the engine will do that sort of mielage smile )

I see what you mean about the bonnet / headlamp pods though...

Hopefully they jsut didn't shut it properly otherwise it could be a 'pod' has sunk and there might be something that needs dorting there or worse, if it's indicative of a bad repair.

...but let's not jump to any conlusions yet eh?! wink

i think that it has had a knock on that side as you can see from the pics that there is a big scrape on the spoiler under the lip......how much do you think that it would cost to get the paint done and the other repairs?......

The catch for the bonnet is in the middle, so if there was a gap on the right then there should be a gap on the left. My guess is its had a knock with a bad repair.

Colour wise it is nice, but its not cheap. Its priced about right for the condition and mileage. Saying that it not a lot of money for a lot of car!

What happened to that 456 that was unfortunately pranged on a test drive last year and featured on here? Has it resurfaced or was it broken?

P.S. I think that one was an auto and this one is clearly a manual, so unconnected.

Means diddly squat in terms of rights of purchaser.

What it does suggest, however, is that all is not well in Denmark with that car, especially considering the above.

I don't think it's a sunk pod because there's a large gap between the top edge of the bumper and the bonnet on the right, but not on the left, which suggests that it's the bonnet that's too high on the right rather than the pod that's too low. The right hand side of the bonnet clearly isn't down properly for some reason. Bad repair possibly or even damage that's in need of repair.

Sagging front bumpers is a common finding on these cars because the bumper itself is so heavy. If you look on these cars, they all develop a gap between the bonnet and the bumper over time. Having said that, its usually the same both sides.

...and that wouldn't explain the uneven headlamp pods frown

Gift horses and all that, chaps. How cheap do they have to be? That's Mondial money. The bonnet is clearly not shut correctly on the nearside, thus giving the headlamp a sunken look. How many Ferrari's is it socially acceptable to own I wonder? scratchchin

He's right. Couldn't see it on the Blackberry, but it *is* clear that the LHS bonnet latch hasn't caught. Nothing wrong with the front end.
