Maserati CC box selecting neutral in traffic

Chaps, my car is being delivered back & the guy has said that if sat still in traffic for more than a minute or so then the box is selecting neutral, I cant remember if it did this.. is this normal? its an 05 QP

If you are not moving and your foot isn't on the brake - then it will select N
If yout foot is on the brake it should stay in 1st

Its normal and makes a beeping sound when it does it.
