Does anybody on here use their Ferrari or Maserati for private hire ?

Thinking more of a Chauffeur service than let the chavs borrow it for £500 !!!

I own and have got access to 3 Ferraris and a Maserati Coupe.

Just been asked if I can take someones mate to the Church in the summer for £100.

Thought it may be worth looking into for a bit of a second income ?

Could make the car pay for itself ?

think you'll find some insurance issues to consider.

Might need to speak with the local council as well. I considered it a while back but didn't really put the effort into finding all the answers.

£100 seems quite little to me. Considering petrol costs for you...would there be that much left for you ? Also considering it is a special day people do tend to splash a bit of cash on such occasions.

just my 2 c

Going to look into it a bit more - re. public liability costs, insurance ect.

Think it might be worth a go.

If I'm just driving round in it at the weekend I may as well be getting paid for it.

You will need insurance for carrying the public, but the council are not interested. One of the quirks of the system is that you need no licence to transport people to weddings or funerals for reward, but to take someone to the airport for example means licensing yourself with the council and a load of hassle. I'd charge a lot more though if you do it.

The person I'm talking to the church is a mate of a mate - I would have done it for free but
they have offered £100.

Obviously I wouldn't be charging those sort of prices for doing it properley.

I was best man at a wedding in August before I got my Ferrari and we had an F355 and a Maserati
belonging to my dad and another friend it went down a treat at the Church.

It also saved my mate the cost of hiring some old white Daimler for the day.

My prices will be rather more if I decide to make a go of it.

Thanks for all the advise.
