Well taken the plunge and back in the Ferrari fold. Just bought a 328 GTS with standard exhaust which sounds boring! Looking for recomendations for a sports rear silencer. Anyone tried or know the difference between the quicksilver sports and supersports? A mate has a Larini which he says drones a bit about 70ish. Am looking for something which would be good for long distances as I am fairy regularily up and down from Glasgow to evnets in England. I would be cruising about 70. Yes honestly!
Want to keep the standard manifolds and suspect may be best to change the link pipes? Any thoughts?
Dont want anything so loud that is uncomfortable , but realy just to make a nice noise and sound like a V8 ferrari rather than a stranged nissan which it sounds like now!
Any thoughts guidance experience or even general abuse from the Lambo guys appreciated!

This company even sells them to Graypauls and makes them for another popular Ferrari specialist in London who pass them of as there own wink So i advise you to go straight to them http://www.stainless-exhaust.com/ They do two types for the 328, top tip get the quietest system they make, unless you want a NAS car sound;) winkwink

Got my 308 gtb sports exhaust and manifolds from him, His work is top class. Price wise dont think you will beat him and the quality is as good as any I`ve had including Lorini.

He is also a realy nice chap and NFFC fan.

the bell system sounds nice, speak to the Ferrari Centre in Maidstone for prices. Mine has a Tubi on it, not sure which level but a very small box, sounds great and perfectly reasonable in the cabin or cruising

I am sure that the exhaust fitted to my 328 is from this company... Its the quiter of the two. Its great for cruising, not really obtrusive all the way up to 90..... however you do here the fantastic V8 scream & howl when accelerating up the revs range!

Really good price too..

There are a few stainless exhausts on ebay at the minute for the 328...

I am quite sure the ones on ebay are made by the same company i put a link to. They are Nottingham based just as the linked company.
If it is the same company, ring them directly first because they have increased the price for the ebay sale wink

Hi
thanks for the advice. Spoke to the guy on the link. the stuff on ebay is NOTHING to do with him and he was being tight lipped about it saying it wasa matter that was being investigated and possibly removed by ebay!
I understand his is a copy of the ANSA sports?
I was thinking of changing the link pipes at same time but not the manifolds
Again any views?

I have the Quicksilver Supersports on my 348 and think it sounds fantastic. It's fairly loud but not intrusive while driving. It was on the car when I bought it but was supplied and fitted by Carlo at Top Gear so might be worth giving him a call.

The guy on E-bay is who I got mine from and hes in Nottingham. Cant see as its any thing to do with e-bay ?? The guy on e-bay dosnt claim to be any body but him self unless e-bay now want to ban competition. I saw the link and because it is also in Notts asumed its the same people.
I`ll have a chat with him and tell him his competitors are trying to get his products removed from e-bay.

Hi Marc
I dont know what the background was and it wasnt expalined to me. It isnt the same seller as the link. I know there are a few places in Notts who do stainless systems for classic cars and could be one of them?

Please remember that the company in the link, makes there systems and manifolds for ferrari dealerships and specialists through out the UK. The owner of the business is called Don by the way, and he has many outlets.

finnaly got mine one, realy pleased so far,

Just got to decide to do about the cut out for the single out let exhaust. Have coverd it up with a bit of mesh and made one for the other side so it dosnt look odd. I will have it put right properly next winter whenI have it resprayed. Its not so noticable when the car is on its wheels rather than on jack stands.

Hi marc
thanks for posting the pics and explanation.
I think I need to hear a few and will annoy a few mates to go for runs in their car first as noise is subjective!
thanks for everyone for their posts and advice. Happy for any other views
