Just noticed this for sale.
Very nice looking car.
May have been repaired, as it seems to have an SE front end and SV scoops.
There are a few of these about around £54k, which aren't selling.
Time for a cheeky offer maybe?????

And the rear lights, the Diablo script and the spoiler looks like they predate the SE30 and SV...

Looks like D13 BLO, not D19 BLO.

I saw this car a few days ago on the web. It has a few modification. But in my mind all the changes add to this car, certainly to it's pose value. So long as you're not a collector insisting on total originality. Being bright yellow too, it's going to be a real eye catcher which is part of the whole idea of many of these things. The mods seem to be done well from what I can see. I think it's a nice car and looks like a more expensive model than it is. Obviously the mechanic need checking over. A couple of years ago, I'd have been straight up to see it. It's a mish-mash, but brings together some of the best bits of various models. Reckon 50K will get it. (get those mirror in yellow asap).

I looked at that too Pete but don't really want yellow again. I was trying to figure out if those mirrors were carbon fibre or not?

I know lots of guys seem to like them - but...

Black interior!
Ewie!

  • Especially* on a 2 seater with no sun roof. Dark, unwelcoming and claustrophobic! I'd whack a couple of yellow panels in it and it would really lift it. (off the top of my head, eg seat centres, and highlights on the door cards, maybe some piping?)

Other pictures on the sellers advert show the high dashboard of a 2wd Diablo... really early one's had black/grey mirrors as a standard fitment but front spoilers and engine covers are (relatively) easily sourced from a few different 'as good as the real things' firms who make fake body parts for Lamborghinis and lookalikee dross.

I'm sure I saw a suspiciously similar yellow Diablo in a very bad way not too long ago - I'd recommend a very, very intense engineers check of that car!

I was approached with an offered of a Sale or Return out of the blue for mine recently, from what to me was an unknown dealer. Obviously your confidence in the car grows if it is for sale from a well known and reputable dealer. I declined after looking at their website because it looked crap and gave very little information regarding the cars they were selling (such as mileage, service history etc). Also they were retailing a cross section of cars (TVR, Subaru, etc), not really on par with Lamborghini... Anyone else been approached this way?

Just out of interest, is yours actually for sale Andy?

That yellow one is certainly growing on me ... but not if there is any doubt as to its historical integrity.
