help needed for Gallardo

can anyone tell me if there is an underbody panel covering the engine in a 2006 Gallardo Spyder. Just looked underneath to check for salt etc and noticed engine is totally exposed. Is a panel missing or is this dliberate? many thanks.

Just locked mine up for the night, pretty certain there should be. If you have no answers by tomorrow I will go have a look. Too cold to venture out again right now!

No there isn't there is a front one but the engine is fully open.

There are some metal panes at the side but not over the engine

Yeah, no panel just like Murci and diablo. The engine sump is exposed. To stop the undertray filling up with oil

i just checked my sl
as above the back half of the car bar the areas in front of the rear wheels is open
but at the front i discovered the biggest sheet of carbonfibre on the whole car : gorgeous, just wish it was more visible

Many thanks for responses. Just got bit of a shock when I looked underneath as it appeared like one panel had fallen off!! Only just got the car so still learning. Glad my question led to you finding a nice piece of carbon fibre!!
