Silly question this late, any good hotels?
Hotel Penta down the road. If you are going early next week - press days are Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th, I'd be very surprised if you manage to secure a room. I am staying at the Etap which is almost opposite the Penta, booked it over 7 months ago...kryten22uk said:

I'll be there a week tomorrow (Tuesday 10th) as it's a quick stroll from the office. Anyone looking for hotels now, good luck - They will be chocka.
I havent seen a problem. Not come across one that is full yet.Hotels are normally chocka on Press days (today and tomorrow) as there are reportedly 10,000 media in town... but it could easily be a bit less busy than usual this year...
On public days, the locals tend to go by train as it is right next to the Geneva Airport train station...
It's quite possible for you guys from the UK to fly in and fly out the same day and the venue is just a 5 minute walk from arrivals to the entrance in Hall 7.
Sunday in particular can be the busiest day, particularly if it is bad weather (no point in skiing!) and people take their kids along.
When theres too many people in the hall, kids in particular, there's much less chance of the exhibitors leaving the cars open for you to sit in and you can find yourself standing in a queue of kids who all want to spend about 5 mins in the drivers seat when all you want is 30 seconds!
There is a bit of a down beat feel on the last day and again, the doors are much more likely to be locked and it's sad but true, there will be a few knobs missing from the interiors of cars that the proletariat have been sitting in! They do try to keep dusting and polishing the outsides but its also amazing how dirty leather seats can get once 1,000 bums have slid over them in 10 days.
Remember it's open until 8pm too and often relatively quiet in the evenings...
That's why I'm planning on Thurday afteroon & evening!
