4200GT Handling - Giallo geo/suspension or new springs?
Discussion
I've been looking into getting the frustrating (compared to my 996) handling of my 4200GT CC (Skyhook) sorted, that i bought a few months back.
From looking about, people seem to be reccommending a combination of a drive by wire upgrade to sort out the ponderous clutch engagement and need to mash the loud peddle to get the engine to wake up ... And also to have new springs and an anti sway bar installed.
People have commented on how this totally changes the handling.
HOWEVER, ive been in touch with Giallo who have mentioned their suspension and geometry setup package that they do to adjust the skyhook suspension without changing springs that gives you a 150mm lower car and promises an 'amazing' difference.
... This seems ALOT cheaper than spending the best part of 2k on new springs and fitting (And uses stock parts).
Anyone tried either of these and can give some advice? It would be nice to be able to take a corner without vauxhall astra van drivers flashing their lights behind me to try and get me to hurry up
Obviously im coming from a 996, so im going overly slow since it just 'feels' alot different. I'm spoiled on the encouragement the Porsche gives you i think.

The current trade in value of my 4200 as confirmed by Prestige Cars of Sunningdale earlier this week was a depreciation fest amount of 12 grand.
.... So the 8-13k i'd need to cough up to get a Gransport is a bit more than the 400+vat for a geometry setup and suspension adjustment, which i've heard is pretty much just making the vanilla 4200 have the same setup as the gransport (minus a bodykit and a few extras of course).

Ahh its a 2002, one of the first.
He'd probably put it on his forecourt for 15-17 mind, which gives a better idea of what it was 'worth' - Its a shame the p/x value i was given wasnt based on the condition.... which is quite honestly brilliant.... I'd rather stick with a 'sorted' car than risk investing in a money pit, if you know what i mean.
400 is a reasonably low cost punt to make though,.
