A friend has just pointed this out to me.
Looks an innocent enough ad, until you realise that that is my car.
Just been to the garage, and it is still there.
Tried to ring the number to book my own car, but it goes to answerphone.
Can anyone throw any light on it, or has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Sounds like a SCAM.
They do it with peoples cars for sale as well.
As long as your car is under lock and key, I wouldn't worry too much.

The mobile number is reather funny with the 0 in it. I called a couple of scammers to give them grief when i was selling a car. They too had a 0 in them.

Ask them a few trick questions to catch them out, so funny!

I asked the guy what car he was interested in and he couldnt even tell me!

It's from a privacy number like the phonesafe thing on PH classified.

Have you tried emailing them as well?

pass the information to the police. Go to you local station and make a compliant! It is fraud orattempted fraud and people like them should be arrested tried then shot! Or possibly just shot? Anyway, it is a serious matter and they are trying to con people into paying money for something they can't deliver.
What happens if people siomehow trace the car back to you and then start accusing you of being in on the scam? Or decide to take matters into their own hands by visiting you or the car? It aint that diffiicult to find out on the QT any details of any car or address!
Go to the police and hopefully they will catch the bds for once!

Right, of course they will. We got attacked in the street a while back and they couldn't even be bothered to send anyone, and then accused me of being inappropriate when I mentioned they were bangladeshis youths.

"Sarge, we've got a bloke on the phone who own a Lamborghini who ...."

"F ck him, rich to55er. Go and get me a KFC."

I have now tried ten times to get an answer from the phone number.
No replies, so obviously a SCAM.
Guess, I need to report it to the Police.cop

Do you mean that the photo they are using is one you have taken yourself outside your own house?

If you have posted that picture on the internet then all they have done is simply pinch the picture.

It's not as uncommon a practice as you think.

When Chris Harris bought his M5 the thumbnail they used on Drivers Republic was a board members picture from M5Board.Com who is based in Honk Kong.

That's a different car. Original 2WD, original wheels and spoilers. The original ad had Pompey Blue's modified car.
