Happened across the road from me so I went down for a look. Pretty bad and it was a Valet guy that crashed it, not even someone from the Garage or someone on a test drive.

Just looked up 575 asking prices on AT.

Why such a massive price jump? They start at around £45k redface and then between '04 and '05 they leap from £65k to £100k+

What changes were made in '05 that made them THAT much more desirable relative to the '04 and earlier?

Thanks...

All our cars are massively overpriced, The Ferrari that crashed was for sale for €109,995 yesterday morning and within 20 minutes of the crash the garage put the price up to €149,995 and then up to €159,995 - insurance purposes I presume!

We have VRT on all our cars which basically means that when we import a car we have to pay Vehicle Registration Tax to get it on Irish plates and for high end cars it's 36% of the open market selling price of the car. This figure is usually pulled out of the air as it's determined by the revenue commissioners who know nothing about cars.

I recently got a quote of over €48,000 VRT for a 03 Gallardo. Funky got a quote of about €100,000 for a 08 Gallardo Spyder. Just for a f***ing registration plate!

Forgot to say, our road tax is as high as €2,000 a year too.
