No doubt there have been threads discussing this previously so apologies in advance but what are they like to own/drive?

Particularly interested in how one would compare to,say,a 430 or GT3?

How harsh/usable are they for the road?

A very hardcore car. Difficult to drive slowly and very, very loud. It does feel very stripped out so really depends how often you will use it. As a now and then car it is great, every day, no. The drive, handling, steering, power, etc, etc are absolutely spot on. Dare I say it but it will also hold its value well (I know people hate to see residuals mentioned but it is important when you spend that type of money).

I bought a CS and a GT3RS together - still have the RS. I just prefer manual shift cars so that is purely taste. Very difficult to say if one is better than the other.

430 and GT3 are more suited to regular use IMHO - also this seems to be what others in the Ferrari and Porsche forums seem to agree on.

Had mine since new and see no real replacement for lots of reasons.
Not for every day, in no sense. However, it is useable for A to B rather than A to A.
Over the moon with the resale aspect as this car cost the same as a 360 spider at the time and I am sure Ferrari made a mistake with the initial pricing as can be seen with the 430SCUD cost now.
The gearchange is good as it really lets you drive the car.
My only pet hate is the stone chipping is terrible due to the sticky corsa tyres (no longer available?) and the low sills.

The day I spilt my IRN BRU on the floor made me thankful it had no carpets!!!!!

Oh and no brake dust!

Sorry a little off topic but 3 really nice example came along to the Porsche RS day at Oulton last week. Anyone on here?

Lovely pieces of kit gentlemen.

Tyres are still available just hard to get hold of sometimes, when available just buy a set for stock.

Would not use as daily driver but will use it to do a trip to the Alps to do some Col roads this summer biggrin
The ride is Ok if not in RACE mode all the time and I find the seats very comfortable.
Mine had its first 2009 outing yesterday and I am still grining today biggrin these cars are just fab.

Not had my CS for sometime but still remember what a great car it was, the fun factor is huge and the sound in race mode is awesome. The standard 360s never really appealed to me but as soon as I saw the CS I knew I had to get one. However I would agree with the comments already posted.... not really an everyday car.

If you get one, have it as a weekend car and it will keep its 'special' feeling for a long time. Buy something else for everyday use. I always loved the anticipation of taking the cover off, firing it up and going for a blast in the sunshine.
