right then...

I'm going to put a bit of the old fuel pipe from my Jarama on eBay as well...

It's partially crispy and dried-out or else soggy and sodden with 35+ years of fuel and has obvious signs of aging otherwise in addition...

It will be complete with a photograph of it's replacement, or at least the plastic bag it came in with a receipt for the same, perhaps...

Bid's can start from 28p, you have a few months to bid...

Once sold, I'll see if I've still got the old FIAMM fuel filter that was replaced last year as well.

These were supposed to be a regular replacement service item but were so hard to get-at, they were frequently ignored unless damaged.

Again, it looks OK for an old part, some slight (historically fascinating!) grit is evident and also that ever-present scent of properly leaded 5-star fuel that the car would still prefer to use.

Or, gimme £1.28 + postage and it can be yours, ALL yours!!

Where else could you get such a great piece of history with such very-certain provenance for so very little?

er, does this break PistonHead's advertising rules?

Sorry to be all boring and stuff but I din't think this is quite as barking as it might initially seem...

Imagine you're 13 years old anf not from a monied or supercar background. Simply being able to drive seems so unbelievably far off, ever being able to afford to buy and own any car - let alone a Murci seems impossible!...yet you love Lamborghinis - and best of all the murcielago...

....it was only £3.70 all in and a total Lambo fan can say he has and can touch a piece of a Lamborhgini (he may never have even seen one in his life for all we know)

point taken Doc...

I know a chap who 're-located' a chunk of JK's SE30 after 'that' accident and may have it still, all viola-coloured scratched plastic but 100% bit-of-a-Lamborghini...

I HAVE just located that FIAMM fuel filter, it's in an original box... it stinks of old fuel...

Apparently makers FIAMM don't exist anymore either - so that must be worth a few pennies? Surely?

One of LCUK's deserving young 'un's is doing OK for himself Lambo-wise these days after joining the Club - from joining us at sub 5'0" to 6'4"+, from joining us aged 12 to 21+...

...from a few model cars to a huge collection to an actual Lamborghini - and most folk will know who that is.

eBay 'Lambo-stuff' purchases were a very large part of that as well... if it floats a boat to buy a bit, then hey, who's to argue really?

LCUK was contacted by a woman in Wales a few years ago.

Her son was about to turn 21 and had been an undiagnosed anorexic since he was 13 or 14 years old.

He was, and I hope, still is crazy about Diablos... might have to dig out the emails from back then, see if I can find out...

She told us (er, me...) that she was hoping to buy him at least one big model Diablo, perhaps more than one but didn't have anything like enough money for more than that (husband long gone, three kids, two part-time, crappy jobs, living in a gritty bit of somewhere gritty...) and had found some stuff on eBay for him as well and was awaiting delivery.

She sounded brave but desperate, strong but under siege, able but unfulfilled, well-meaning but unappreciated.

She asked if there was anybody near them who had a Diablo they could perhaps go and see. Her son was well enough to travel if needed, now he was at last eating a little better than he had been.

We have a Club Member quite near there who had a Diablo. I contacted him and he suggested an alternative to them travelling to see him.

I sent them a big bundle of Diablo-related stuff, loads of it, some quite valuable in eBay terms I'm sure.

She kept it all out of sight until her son's birthday when she gave him the things she'd bought for him and the stuff I sent. He was delighted and very pleased to get it all.

At around mid-morning, she was standing in the garden and called to her son to come and listen to a noise she could hear and asked him to guess what it was...

And the guy with the Diablo rolled around the corner and parked just by the gate...

And took the lad for good long drive and let him take as many photographs as he could of the car...

And gave him a big, official Diablo jacket from the Lamborghini factory...

...which was all a bit distressing and upsetting for his mum, who called me later that day.
Good, decent people never seem able to take gifts or any simple 'uplifting' help too well but she deserved it; they deserved it all, at least.

We do some good stuff in LCUK but most people don't hear about it too much - why shout about doing a thing when the thing can just be done?

Didn't actually want her to cry so much though, if at all but I think she was quite happy really.
