I'm thinking of buying a F355 and would like to have Sat Nav in it (my sense of direction is useless). I can't have a TomTom or Similar because they use the cigarette lighter and i normally have my Itrip plugged in there.

Anyway I've looked up Hallfords quickly, just to see what was about and they do this one:

Which actually fits in to the Dash, but i don't think it would fit.

They also do this, which has a pop-up screen, which is probably the best type to go for:

Has anyone put either of these types of systems in their cars? If so how did you find them? Also if you could recommend a good system that would be great.

Thanks

I use a 1 to three way extender: copes with 'phone & sat-nav, with a spare for wifes 'phone as well. Does that help?

I have the second one pictured in my truck and it works a treat. I had the ipod wire fed through to the glove box and you simply plug your ipod in and then it is all controlled from the touch screen. It appears just like you ipod does and you can switch between that and sat-nav and also reverse camera if you buy that as well. I got it about a year maybe 2 years ago and I havent had a hickup yet.

I was going to get the full fitted screen one but where the box is it would of made it hard to see the sat nav directions and dvds playing. Let me know if you have any further questions.

I would ditch the Ferrari stereo (they are rubbish anyway) and fit a decent head unit with a direct Ipod input. My Apline unit looks good and the green lights tie in nicely with the dash.
Then just buy a tomtom which will be at head height rather than peering at the dash the whole time and is portable between cars.

Either way, if you buy a stereo with sat nav, it will prob have a direct Ipod connection anyway...
