I am seriously considering a Gransport over a 997 C2S, how reliable are they if not driven for a few weeks, there will be times when I don't need to drive or be away and the car could be left still in the garage for about 2-3 weeks, once it does get driven though it will be a mix of London/motorway miles. Are these cars ok to just leave and start??

Oh and there are a couple of nice ones at ADG Sevenoaks, anyone heard of them??

I have a GranSport, use it at weekends and often not for three weeks at a time if I am busy. Always starts and is no problem.

Amazing car really, but buy a late one if you can. Funnily enough I was thinking about a 997 but thats only because I change a lot and like Porsches, plus the 997 shape is lovely..

Mine's a daily driver but I frequently leave mine on the drive for anything between 1-3 weeks with no problems at all. Always starts on the button.

Thats good to know, I was wondering the exact same thing!

Bing, ADG are well known in Maserati circles. Head over to www.maseratiforum.co.uk. They certainly seem to have got hold of some nice stock of late, as has Nuvola. (www.nuvolalondon.com)

Why do you say that mate....I was looking for a 06/56 reg car or maybe even a 07 if I can stretch....I really need to get a test drive booked..... me and a 997 did not get on it just felt too arse heavy compared to my Elise.

Not sure if 100% true but all 'problems were meant to be ironed out with later models, also instead of charging for the extra's (LE Package) they just lumped them in to later models.

Finally, you will have some manufacturer warrantee left with later models, selling mine soon and it has a year and a half left which will surely help at resale...

all the cars finished production in 2006 - there are a few late registrations floating around though.

Get a 2006 car or later if you can, all the niggles sorted out & a very well screwed together car.

I keep thinking about selling mine but haven't quite bitten the bullet yet.. still enjoy driving it too much. A disco 3 or a 535d touring would be useful at the moment though lol.

Good luck with the search, pm me if you need any specific info (or on maseratiforum)
