Yep the old lady has just completed 110k at the weekend and is still going strong. It needs it's fourth clutch so is booked into Lambo Manchester next week. Probably going to be expensive since it needs a flywheel this time. Techo's there reckon the V12 is sounding a bit rattly so might have to send it to the factory end of this year for a top and bottom end rebuild. Cheaper than here at 70 euros an hour.
Still its done well since at least 30k of the 110k has been on the track. Brakes on the front are being uprated next week too. I'm going to try for 150k this year smile

Hey Simon

I got to take my hat off to you, that's pretty awesome. Lamborghini could do with a bit of good news about reliablity and high mileage.

See you early May @Fen End.

Hi there,

Simon, fantastic news thought we had a conversation when the LP arrived and the Murcie was going into retirement. Mind you they often say you work harder in retirement.

Here are some pics of the car from the last couple of years: -

See you soon.

Regards

Tim

I think you'll find that he does smile

(unless the chaps at Sant Agata pay him a wedge for being such an outstanding ambassador for the cause of thrashing the hell out of their finest like they should be biggrin )

Wicked car Simon - still the most exciting car I have driven to this day (drove at Thruxton in 2003).

Glad you are able to drive it properly and live the dream! smile

Well done Simon!

Will I be able to have a peek round the old bus if I book an experience with you guys?

How long is it going to take you to get to the 250k mark?!

Best,

Alex

Excuse my school boy question, but one of those pics shows the car with two small exhausts, probably no bigger than my S2000, is that to make it quieter for track days?

P.S Well done Simon, love to see a car being driven and not tucked away!

Luke.

Serious question. But what do you reckon it's worth now? I can't imagine there's much of a precedent.

I wonder at what point Lamborghini will give you a new one for free just for making that many miles????

500K

Wasnt there a guy that got a free merc after doing something like a million K.

Volvo IIRC. He drove some old Volvo coupe thing 1,000,000 miles and they gave a brand new XC90.

Good going Simon!
