Gransport IPOD connectivity

bit of a wierd one this - have an Ipod connection in the glovebox of my car (55 plate) but i cant get the stereo to recognise the connection when you press the 'media' button. Any bright ideas where i am going wrong / what the problem might be?!?

It is a standard Becker GS Headunit, or is it the SatNav/Phone model?

You have to tune it through radio. It's very poor TBH unless I was using it wrong and it's 88.4 FM from memory

I am not aware of any iPod connectivity (or mode) on the Info-entertainment unit, so I would guess bridcage's response is correct, where the iPod connector is an in-line FM module; so therefore need to tune the radio into that station.

yeah, thats the one

there is a cable in the glovebox that fits the ipod but nothing shows on the display.
