Lamborghini Super Trofeo races at Silverstone - CANCELLED

Hi there,

Just a heads up for any of you planning on heading over to Silverstone this weekend the first three rounds of the new Lamborghini Super Trofeo, this series has now been withdrawn from this weekends event for reasons which have not yet been made public.

The series website still lists the first race as being at Silverstone on Saturday, however the official recently revised timetable on the FIA GT website no longer has any entries for the Super Trofeo series.

This is a real shame as I reckon this would have been a great spectacle.

Can anyone shed any light on why the series has been pulled, perhaps a lack of entries ?

Hi I know someone who is central to the race organising- not enough of the teams are ready.

there was a definite shortage of lambos at silverstone today

there were about 12 spectators on friday
parking was by the main entrance : 1/2 mile from the pits, paddock, burgers

Hi there,

Hopefully there will be a few more Lambos around tomorrow. Friday is usually a great day for Supercar spotting as it is the annual 'Supercar Tour'. There were a couple of Lambos on this, namely a nice Silver Murcielago and a very nice White with Blue leather LP560-4 Spyder.





Will post a full set of pics from the event inc Veyron, Zonda, and a rather nice Green Mosler.

While at Brands yesterday I heard that the Lamborghini Super Trofeo rounds for Silverstone had now been re-scheduled to run during the weekend of the British F3/GT race meeting. I can't find anything in 'tinternet' to confirm this yet. Does anybody know anything or has heard anything???

That's a coincidence. I had a test drive in that very car earlier today. It was definitely very nice.

Yes, sorry Pistonheaders are a superb bunch, I ended up with three copies.

Gutted I can't make the Super Trofeo series, I am on my way back from France that weekend after a weeks holiday.
