The closest cars I know of are both 1998 registered - unsure of model year though.

Saw a fabulous RHD SV at Brooklands Auto Italia day today being sold by DK Engineering. Its a 1997/R in Olympus metallic green with rare black leather - special spec as originally purchased from new by one of the Lamborghini works drivers. Asking price was £66,995 which seemed very good as it was in mint condition. Speak to James Cottingham as he was very helpful when I spoke to him regarding some of the Ferrari F40's he also had on display. www.dkeng.co.uk - please note I have no interest in the business or car - just trying to be helpful!

That car has been within LCUK for a few years now and was sold to the current owner by Top Gear cars in Scotland who have a great reputation, as you may know.

As DK say, the car has a great deal of provenance and it has been mentioned by more than a few people that the 510bhp 'official figure' of that car's engine is a few ponies shy of the actual amount.

Also as the DK advert says, it was Howard Furr-Barton's car, hence the wing... which would definitely be one of those 'acquired taste elements' if I were looking at that car!

Ace colour though, here's a pic taken in 2006 by Mrs XXVIII:



OK, OK... so it's not all of the car and it was (very) raining - at least you can see the colour of the car and obviously it didn't melt in the downpour!


Also there may still be a peachy 530bhp SV that's a late 97 spec. (pre- open headlamps) car that may be for sale at around £75k-ish. It's a Lamborghini Club UK member's car and is a much better than average sample which has been very well adored and properly used by the current owner who is Surrey based.

please note there's not a penny in it for me should anyone buy either the Olympus green car at DK or the later SV mentioned!...

My 2000 model year 1999 SV (open headlamp model) is coming up for sale in the next couple of weeks. Immaculate low mileage car with brand new clutch and fresh service all for less than £75k.

There's an SV for sale in Sittingbourne, though I'm not sure what year it is - Diablo Pete can advise, as it used to be his. Personally I think the dealer has overpriced it, which is why it's sat on his forecourt for the last 5 months.

Actually... Try Diablo Pete! He has a Yellow/Black SV (pop ups) which I wanted to buy when I was looking for mine (he beat me to it! #&%F*%$ ! ) It was at the Mulberry meet last year so there should be pics of it in any threads about that?

He has been toying with the idea of selling it, on and off for some time - maybe an offer will make him make his mind up?
