4200 v Gransport Spyder

Been trying to find a good Gransport Spyder CC, but they are thin on the ground and more expensive than a 4200. Could someone tell me the main differences between the 2 models, plus major things to look out for if I were to go for the 4200 instead please? I've heard the early models were a bit skittish in handling terms and that the CC gearbox improved with later models??
