Reserve was set at £38k. It was a 99T so late car but would have thought the mileage put alot of people off at 49k. Personal opinion would be about £32k for a nice car with that mileage, private sale as well.

I have just found this one, i believe its the same one being discussed. Looks a very genuine car. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1999-T-FERRARI-355-SPIDER-MA...
Yes a lot of people would be put of by the mileage. For no good reason other than they believe all they read on the forums about engines going "pop", or parts will expire very soon. These people are usually are scared of there own shadows. Show me a 355 that has ever blown an engine because its mileage is over 30K. No matter which model ferrari you buy its all about the rolling of the dice. Yes some future problems can be limited some what by checking the cars service history. Well this car has a very comprehensive service history as far as i can see, i for one would not let the mileage bother me at all. Although i do already on two Ferraris with over 50k miles on them each, including a 355.
Its all about the condition of the car as well as the documentation.
But the car looks great.

Thing is, these cars are getting on now, mileage cant stay static forever, only a certain amount of them in the UK, getting older by the year.

As unlucky as the owners of the first batch of 1999 F360 owners who needed an engine rebuild at less than 15K miles wink This was a known problem that ferrari rectified by using a different big end bearing shells. The problem was that the oil ways were not open enough there for causing crank shaft starvation.
This problem only affected the first early batches of F360s. So what about the cars that have not reached the 15K miles yet? And i bet very few have heard about it on here because it was not a recall.
Flip side both my 360 and 355 have over 50K miles on them. As well as a few friends who have over 80k Miles on there's with out a days problems.
Like i said roll of the dice.
