Hi Everyone,
This may seem a little cheeky seeing as though i do not own any of these cars, i wish! but please please hear me out.
I'm a 17 year old girl and i really need your help.
I have an upcoming volenteer trip to Africa for a month next July and i need to raise the money in order for me to go. To do this i'm organising events, parties and general ways to make myself look silly; all for charity.
Basically, i am hoping to organise an event at my local speedway (either Rockingham or Silverstone) where owners of such AWESOME cars can come along and provide a bit of a show, after all with cars like yours i would take any opertunity to show them off. (By the way if anyone wants to give one away for free i am more than willing to take it lol)
So at this event obviously there could be a lot of showing off, fast cars and loud growling and screaming coming from your engines. I was also hoping that maybe the drivers could provide laps to paying spectators with the money going towards the trip to Africa.
I am open to any suggestions and i really hope that you guys can help me with this. If you are willing then i would be so grateful i could kiss you. Please reply even if it is a no and to tell me to go away!
Thank you for your time

Hi Michaela. I'm sure some of the guys on here would be happy to help out if they can, and even if they can't, they are all too gentlemanly to tell you to go away (except perhaps Evil Dr. Fish - don't let him anywhere near you with his stethescope!!)
Joking aside, it would be helpful for anyone who may be in a position to help to have an idea of any dates you may have in mind for such an event.
Wishing you well in your endeavours.

It is not clear how you hope to organise the event or when. I think you may struggle to pursuade Silverstone or Rockingham to make their circuits available to you. They are fairly well booked up and charge out at about £25,000 for a day midweek in the case of Silverstone. There are also issues about insurance and liability etc.
However, a lot of people on Pistonheads use their cars on organised trackdays. Your best hope may to try suggest that if you can bring say five paying guests to an organised trackday, where they may pay say £100 each for say 10 laps being driven around by one of the guys in their supercars. This would raise £500 and might be a bit more manageable in terms of getting it organised and covered with the track day organsier or circuit etc. The participants would effectively be sponsoring you and in return, you would be providing them with a passenger ride in a car at Silverstone. It would have to be organised in a way where there is no liability on the part of the driver. The participants would have to be made aware of the terms of thier involvement.
Do you know how you are going to attarct the people who will part with their hard earned cash yet?
If you think this idea may work and you are genuine (sorry, but a lot of dubious posts get on here) then I would be happy to try and help. Given your stated age, I would want to know that one of your parents/guardians was fully aware of what you are doing.
Good luck with the fund raising for the trip.

As the listing above .. Good idea but its really a no go'er. With all the Health & safety involved. If by change you did get a driver & car that had a accident. the driver or yourself would be liable to be sued.the normal disclaimer is not worth the paper its written on Now. I think this more trouble than you can imagine. There are many charity teams out there that would point you in the right direction who to raise money. Its just a thought as well but if your taking peoples money you will have to pay taxes even if your a registed CHARITY.
