I searched another thread to se how wide the 355 is to see if it would fit in the garage. It seems it does but its tight.

Then I test drove one on Sat and loved it, however people talk about the 'door width a lot in threads, I didn't really notice as I was looking at it but does this mean might be able to get in the garage but not get out as doors need to be opened quite wide?

Its a bit of a risk to buy the car and then not be able to get it in garage!

Mine would go through a standard sized garge door opening without folding the mirrors in.
Be careful once inside though as the 355 has big thick doors so opening them once inside may be a problem.

The doors are wider than normal, but they aren't hugely wide. What you should do though is put some carpet on the walls of your garage, where the doors would be. I remember not long after getting the Gallardo my Dad swung the door right into the wall, luckily though not too much damage.

Don't you get any problems with water going through the engine bay causing electrical problems?

My 348 (about the same width) goes into the garage but I can't open the doors to get out. Thankfully I bought a TS not a TB (which was more luck than judgement as didn't even consider that scenario) so I can climb out... I just keep a spare bit of carpet in the footwell to stand on smile

My 348 fits into a standard Barratts cardboard box garage, though it is a a bit tight and really needs someone helping to avoid 'paintwork incidents'. It's also interesting getting out of the car and a reduction in pie intake is recommended smile

If you want it to rust then leave it outside. Italian cars of that age were never the best when it comes to rust!!! If it is a spider the roof WILL leak!

It will go in a standard garage. Doors will open but will be rather tight. Best option is to have a carpet strip on the wall where the door opens so that it does not get damaged.

Love 355's, I have had a couple and they have been great.

Sorry don't agree if it is left outside all year round no matter how well it is looked after it will rust. F355 has no rust protection.
All the nuts, bolts, hose clips etc will rust up as will the exhaust, rads etc.
Any F355 used all year round and left outside should be avoided IMHO as you can pick and choose.

I was looking at this last night as I've measured my garage opening and its exactly 2000mm wide.

According to the offical 355 brochure the car is (if my memory serves me rightly) 1850mm. If and when I do the deal, the final requirement before we shake hands will be to prove it fits in the garage!!

Once through the doors, it does widen slightly, so hope getting in and out isn't too much of a problem.
