Pot holes are ruining my life
Discussion
In Putney yesterday, coming up to the bridge, pull away from the lights and suddenly THUMP as the nose takes a bang on a pot hole...quite a bad crack
Can this be repaired cheaply and touched up? Any recommendations where?
And on a side note, shouldn't I be able to sue the council? (Not that I can prove it happened)

Haven't had cause to try it myself (yet) but there's useful info. on here - bookmarked after seeing it on a previous PH posting.
Good luck & let us know how you get on

Claim against the council. They have to maintain roads and pavements in a safe condition. Most councils have a web site to record pot holes. Once they are notified they have to repair in a reasonable time period. I have succesfully done it on 2 occaisions in the past. They squirm a bit and try and deny it Their normal get out clause is they were not aware of it (hence why it is so important to register pot holes on their web site).Eventually they should pass it onto their insurance company who should make the pay out.
Good luck,
A few years ago I tried to claim against Hammersmith & Fulham for damage to my 430 rims
The thing just went on for months and ultimately I never got anything out of them
What we need is lawyer here who will taake on the cases on a no win/no fee basis
