Anyone else keep getting engine warning lights epc 1-5 or 6>10 up on their dash boards?

Its been recovered 5 times already 31 total days in the garage and still not fixed - should that be acceptable?

Ive asked to reject the vehicle - i think ive got a fairly good case..

Appreciate all thoughts..

Cheers

Mine was in recently for the 1-5 lights, first time in 12.5k miles. They changed the throttle body which cured it; not had a recurrence since then but haven't had it back long.

Mine's an 05 and the lights regularly pop up - emissions warning every time. I tend to ignore now - after a few restarts the warning goes away (since all it has registered is a once off reading outside of the allowable emissions range).

That said, I have just asked LHW to sort this once and for all - they've updated the ECU software and they hope this will be a cure. Otherwise, it may have to be a new sensor, which is not cheap.

If your car is very new, then definitely not acceptable, but I do think it's a not uncommon issue from what I've heard.

Kind regards

Steve

Used to get that a lot myself. LHW changed two lambda sensors, not seen the warning in the subsequent year or so.

How frustrating.

If the warning lights are "just" emissions, then to be honest you can just carry on driving. When the lights started to come on my car (only a few months into ownership), LHW told me to carry on unless I had actually noticed a misfire, lack of power or some other ailment that suggested something more serious.

That said, it's never 100% confidence inspiring to drive with those dratted (and very visible) warning lights flashing away!

Of course if it's anything other than emissions, then you are right to get the car recovered.

Cheers
