Hi Guys,
Looking to buy a 360 in the next week or so (if anyone has one for sale please get in touch!)
My initial plan was to buy in almost any colour giving me a wider choice and then get it wrapped.
After speaking to Totally Dynamic it seems this plan is a no go, the obvious issue is the paint under the headlights, they are unable to dedal with this as it involves removing the bumper plus radiators and then splitting the units.
Does anybody know otherwise or has had their 360 wrapped? I can't see an obvious way around this issue.
Cheers,
Nish

I know several people that have split their Subaru headlamps in order to tint them or remove the orange indicator lens. It involves sticking the whole unit in the oven for 20 mins until the glues softens they then just pull apart...I kid you not!
I am assuming all headlamp units no matter what manufacturer are held together pretty much the same.
Good luck!

You are correct, I used to have a Supra and it was the same deal.
Bung the lights in an oven and wait, there are issues around leaving them too long and bits melting however, which given the replacement cost at 2k per light im not so keen on trying myself!
These guys do a dark headlight tint:

Should be dark enough to mask the underlying colour and could work if the car is wrapped in black, just not sure if it will look chavvy

won't work with ferrari ones, i've done subaru ones and they have a soft sealant that softens more with heat but the ferrari ones quite tough and rigid I am assuming all headlamp units no matter what manufacturer are held together pretty much the same.
Good luck!

ps heres worth a look

Racoon wrapped my 360. The car was silver and the wrap is matt black. I thought the lights looked fine but quite a lot of guys on Club Scuderia disagree! You pays your money...and if you do want the lights done, it's a real pain and trebles the cost.
They sent me a pic of your car I think (was it silver previously?) as I enquired about my getting mine matt blacked...looks great but can't see the detail...how is it in the joins, around the lights etc?Pics here: http://www.clubscuderia.co.uk/forum/showthread.php...
(Uploadng nearly defeated me).
I went to Raccoon becuase they were closer to me than the lot in London, and they also do the Gumball cars which struck me as a pretty good recommendation. A very neat job, with no problems re quality of finish. Most people who see it think it's painted.

I think this has been asked before, but how does this work with insurance, DVLA etc? Do you amend your V5 to state the colour of the car is white?
Somebody told me that you don't need t tell the DVLA because it's not classed as a permanent colour change. I don't know if that's true though.Gassing Station | Supercar General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
