idle speed on a Gallardo

Is it normal when letting foot of pedal for it to initially idle at around 1500rpm then after a second or 2 then settle at 1000rpm and stay there?

Seems a little odd but perhaps a characteristic of the V10 perhaps?

Hi Chris,

Mine was about 1500 on start up from cold then dropped to about a 1000..

The 1500 bit was only from cold and of course thats when my engine warning light problem occurs..

Nah, this is a bit different...

Even when warm.... It drops to 1500, stays there for around 2 seconds, and then drops again to 1000 after that.....
And stays there. Doesn't move around so not a throttle body issue I don't think.

Thanks Tadek.

It's still under warranty and was supposed to be sorted out at a main dealer.

They said it's normal and a characteristic of the car which sounded tad odd to me.
