First pictures of the physical car. Can't say I'm that sure of it. Anyone else going tomorrow?

I like it smile

Apart from the obvious (ie the stripe on - and in - the car) what *cosmetic* differences are there compared to the 560?

Too many VAG parts-bin features in the interior for my liking.....

To be honest it looks essentially identical to the 560, apart from the stripe. It is very nice, but give me a 560 any day (with a manual though!)

I think it looks better than any other Gallardo except the Concept S, which will never be manufactured of course!

and the clue's in the name Robin...

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni

y'know two wheel drive, like wot 2009's equivalent of the Luddites have been fervently praying for in a modern Lamborghini, (though the chances of there being any more 2wd cars are slim at best imo).

As you may all know, it's a limited edition car and VB was in London last night as part of a whistle stop-style tour promoting this car with his name on it.

Other surface changes include his signature in badge form on the xxx/250 plaque and er, that's about it as far I can see...

He's certainly spec'd the car to his tastes, I guess, so he obviously likes those '60s and '70s racing style stripes and it may only be possible for near superhumans to drive properly - certainly nobody will be able to drive it as well as Valentino can! smile

VB says he feels honoured to have a Lamborghini with his name on it - my p-o-v is rather that Automobili Lamborghini SpA should feel more than grateful to have had the greater amount of years of the life of such an outstanding driver and such a decent and very humble man.

He is the best possible ambassador for the marque perhaps even more than FL could ever have been, not that Valentino would ever agree with such a suggestion, for certain.

This man at last has a car named after him, he is the only person that as a true lambo fan we have to relate to, I read about him since the 1980s when I started to collect mags with lambo articles in them, seen him on utube with the countach, saw him at meetings and finally had the massive pleasure of him driving flat out at the 40th ann event on the race track in a merci in the wet without the traction control!!!! he just tried to scare me by going faster each lap...all i did was grin more and more. A legend and think about it whenever he is not there at LAMBORGHINI who has the presence, history, personality to represent Lamborghini....NO ONE HAS....A LEGEND HE IS...yes
