Hi, i've recently purchased my first lamborghini and am over the moon with it! I'll post some pictures of it up very soon. At the moment it has the standard cd and tape player but ideally id rather have the lcd screen and sat nav, Does anyone know if it would be a straight swap and a rough idea of what this may cost.
Any help would be much appreciated. thanks
George

Also interested in this. I looking into putting in an after market one (Pioneer) but was told I'd need to get a facia plate adaptor made up as there isn't one currently available. So knocked that idea on the head.

I can't imagine it should be a massive hassle. There is plenty of room for a double din unit ( I think that's the technical term for a bigger unit i.e. LCD screen)

If this is the Gallardo Dash without Sat Nav then juts look at how much room there is around the stereo. It should just be a simple swap.

For LCD screen Sat Navs you will probably be looking looking at this sort of thing.
.

Those sort of systems Pioneer Kenwoord etc are about £800/900 ish.

Hope that helps

If I were you I would go down to Halfrods and explain what you want to do. They will probably be able to tell you if it's possible to fit it in to a Gallardo or not. You don't have to buy your products from them but it gives you some idea of if it's possible and what's involved etc.

Hope that helps and good luck. Let us know how you got on.

That is the Pioneer Sat Nav that I showed you earlier. I think that looks pretty good.

Like I said above, you will need to get a face plate made up to make it look flush if you install an aftermarket one.

Justin,

Give me a shout when you get home, I could easily get something made up for you in GRP / Carbon at work.

I made mine out of 2 small bits of mdf then covered it with alcanterra so it matches the headlining.

I think you can drop the Audi RNS-E in and keep it original, personally I'd want to keep it as OEM as possible.

They are readily available and the guys who did my bluetooth kit can even enable the logo on startup.

I can't recall the website but there is an article on there about how to fit an audi unit in there as it is the same thing but with a different face plate.

Ah, here it is....

Try this...

Hi,
Can you really fit the audi unit in and is it a stright forward fit or do you need to do modifications.
thanks

Have a look at this:

http://www.lamboweb.com/Repairs_Section/Gallardo_R...

http://audiforum.us/lamborghini/2644-rns-e-retrofi...

I think you should try and get the OEM Nav system if possible rather than aftermarket.

The Lambo unit is the Audi RNS-E, all the Logos for Audi and Lamborghini are in there and it's just a case of configuring the unit to tell it which vehicle it's in.

Check out any of the links the other guys have put up, there is plenty of into about on it.
