LOVE that car. Had it's pic on my wall as a boy, an my interest has been rekindled by one from DK Engineering I see driving round these parts.
Clearly it is a V12 Ferrari and is going to be expensive to run, but does anyone have any views on how expensive? Secondly, do people think they are near the bottom in price terms?

I've always loved the Testarosa, it just has such presence and sense of occasion. I love my 355, it's easy to drive and live with (although I don't use it everyday) I think the Testarosa would be the opposite. The steering will be heavy and so will the clutch, but who cares. I'm considering replacing my 911 later on this year and I'm very much considering a Testarosa for a bit of fun. Oh and so I can pretend to be Sonny Crocket!
Juts had a little look at servicing costs on a Testarosa, Annual service is about £500 which isn't too bad. A cambelt/18k service will be a about £1200+ Ouch, and that's specialist prices imagine what a main dealer would be. Still If I work really really hard I can justify it in my head

Cambelt service isnt massively different from the cost for a 355, its the while the engines out costs that add up a tad.
Their a bit heavier to drive than a 348 and obviously doesnt have power steering like a 355 but not as bad as some people say (compared to a countach it's almost as easy as a micra) and cant see them going down in value much further (can happily see them going up like the countach)
I ahve been watching the values for a few years as I was/maybe interested, although I would want the series 2. They have stabilised price wise and seem to be just starting to rise slightly, certainly on the 512s anyway. You may still get a relatively cheap series 1, but not for long.
I think eventually the prices will go up, but when, I don't know. I can't see it happening for at least 5-10 years.
Still doesn't stop me wanting one. If I were to get one though I think I would have to invest n a white suit( sleeves rolled up), loafers with no socks and some cool sunglasses;)

I dont think they will ever be cheaper. Just ask yourself if you can see them dropping another five grand??? Highly unlikely. They have reached bottom and there is a price point where below there is no benefit to the seller. They will not increase in value either for quite a while, but as a true exotic, there is little to touch a TR for the money.
