Gallardo stalling problem
Discussion
Anyone have any ideas why my 2004, 22K miles manual Gallardo may be stalling? Seems worse before fully warmed up, sometimes you dip the clutch and it just stalls. No real pattern to it apart from that, also will stall when hot. Tends to hunt sometimes when you dip the clutch (not always), and sometimes the revs just dont recover. Ticks over at steady 1000rpm on hot engine.
SB Race engineering thought they had cured it by rectifying a bad earth (Lamborghini suggested that might be the problem but were really struggling to come up with an answer because the car is not throwing up any stall faults when put on the computer.)
The throttle bodies have also been cleaned up apparently.
As an aside if you want Lambo or Ferrari servicing SB race engineering in Launden, Herts run by Stuart are very sound guys. Won't recommend doing stuff for the sake of it an definately won't try and rip you off - they saved me a £4000 bill (which is what I was quoted at Fiorano cars, North London - stay away! ), for new front discs and pads (which didn't need doing apparently), and new bushes (which didn't need doing apparently) and a new oil tank (which also didn't need replacing - having been repaired quite satisfactorily). Fiorano Cars (near the Ace Cafe) - very much less than Ace in my view! Oh and what did I pay through SB Race Engineering ? ..a bit over £700 - now that's what I call good value, they also fixed a fuel leak and charged me for only part of the real time for investigating the stalling fault

A friend with an early Gallardo had a similar problem that the dealers here in the UK couldn't fix, despite insisting that all known required mods had been done.
During a trip to the factory, he happened to mention the problem. The service manager took one look at the engine, and straight away spotted that one mod for this specific problem hadn't been done. It was done on the spot, and it hasn't been a problem since.
Not saying that you have the same problem, but it's a possibility.

Ferrarno cars.. near the Ace...
I imagine you may mean Fiorano cars...
'They' are the successor business to the charming Rosso Corsa who may well have the same registered address and directors...
I'd suggest having a look around older PistonHeads posts or on Club Scuderia and a number of other places for a chap who may well still have the nerve to be called Richard Lukins.
If you see him, ask him when he intends to pay his long overdue bill to LCUK, thanks...
