I'm a Furniture Designer and am in the process of starting a new personnel project. The idea is to create a chair styled on a Ferrari Daytona seat. I think the Tan and Dark leather look fantastic and have been playing about with the idea of creating a seat using Veneers for the Tan section and then leather inserts for the Dark bits.

So my question is would any one that owns one be prepared to take just a few pictures of the seats in there car. I'm particularly interested in the small air holes that run horizontally across the dark leather.

Yes before anyone asks I have Googled it and am not coming up with much.

Many thanks in Advance
Patrick

I actually have one of these in dark red which has been turned into an office swivel chair - purchased at a Bonhams auction years ago - pretty sure it is a daytona seat though it could be from another model (though it is very similar in style).....BUT its stored at parents. I'll see if I can get the old man to take a few snaps. May take a few days though...

There are a few shots on flickr, nothing showing the full seat though.

daytona style seat trim has been an option on most ferraris for a number of years now
unless you specifically wanted the daytona shaped seat, you could do worse than to visit a dealer

I'd be very grateful if the 'Old man' could oblige with the old Polaroid shot. It's just a job in the pipeline that I have wanted to make for a few years and now that I have a work shop thought it was about time I did some of my own stuff rather than for clients.

Thanks again

My usual first port of call when looking for pictures, talking of flickr, have you checked out the pictures from Goodwood 2009, some very impressive large format pictures for us all to have a look at.
Cheers

A little easier said than done I'm afraid, not easy with a crew cut and dog in tow. Might be a little easier if i just save £160,000 or what ever they cost. Thanks.

Just spent 10 minutes checking out the interior of a Lamborghini Superleggera, you lucky lucky man. Surely you just get in and smile.
