328 windscreen replacement

Has anyone had experience of how to best get a replacement windscreen fitted for a 328? I'm not sure if this can be done by the regular replacement companies as it seems to have a mastic bead that holds it in place and has a surround that looks very difficult to remove in one piece.

Insurance company sent one of their fitters over who said it couldn't be repaired and then went on to say i should get a second opinion. I will need to speak with the insurance company tomorrow.

Generally speaking, insurance companies will send whoever the prevailing contractor is.

I could give you a second opinion to help things along. I'm based in Herts too.
