trip to the italian grand prix
Discussion
planning a trip down in the 348. it will be my first euro trip in the car, really looking forward to italy. i'm guessing a few of you will have some tips on the best route down and places to visit during the week i've set aside for this. i'm thinking of stopping off in monaco on the way back. also, anyone got some advice on how best to get tickets for monza?
The "Roads" forum is really the place for route tips and advice. I've found it quite useful so far. There are some recent threads specific to Monaco too.
As for GP tix, I've used www.f1gpt.com last few times and had no complaints on price or service.

Buy tickets direct from the circuit: www.monzanet.it/eng/
I recommend staying on Lake Como - plenty of great hotels to suit all different budgets. Then take the train to the circuit on race day. It is an easy trip from the station by the lake in Como straight to Monza station - about 40 minutes - then free shuttle bus to the track. I wouldn't take the car to the track for the Grand Prix. It is worth going on practice day and walking out the back of the track - walk into the centre via the underpass at either end of the main straight and turn left then follow the road under the old banking then left to the inside of the first chicane or right along towards the Lesmos.
If you want to visit Maranello, it is about 2 hours South of Monza/Milan.
