I am getting closer to doing a deal on a 98 F355 GTB. The dealer based near Bath...
.. supplies an AA warranty.
What do you think ?
Depends on how much they are asking?
.. supplies an AA warranty. What do you think ?
Condition of the csr? etc?
As for the warranty I wouldn't rely on them to fix the car. I've never used them but bearing in mind how much the little things can cost to put right, I just have a feeling they may try and avoid paying out.
Any chance of posting up the advert? Someone on here may know the car in question.
I looked at another 355 they had for sale when I was looking for mine. Thy guy I spoke to seemed polite and professional and the car seemed pristine and looked like it had been well maintained. Sadly by the time I went back to buy the car it had sold.
I'm afraid I don't know anything about the car you're looking at, however I personally think the dealer is genuine enough and I would have bought the car he had, if it hadn't sold. The only thing that worries me is the AA warranty, I'm not saying it's bad I just don't know anything about it. I would ask him for the terms and conditions of the warranty, so you can see just what it covers etc. Some warranty companies have a maximum claim value i.e. if something goes wrong and will cost £5k to fix, they may only cover up to £4k. I've never used to AA warranty so I don't know what they are like, they may well be brilliant and honest.
As for 355s in general they tend to be pretty reliable and it's very rare to hear of major problems with them so I wouldn't worry. Just make sure you get the car professionally PPi'd and checked over etc and you should be fine. 355s are great I absolutely love mine, so good luck with your search.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
