why is there such a price difference between CS' does anyone know? They range from 78K to 100K. Just out of interest...
I think mileage makes more of a difference on the CS than on standard cars. Also, I think things like the £3k stripe down the middle are seen as desirable extras and impact the price to. Just my opinion though, I'm guessing someone who knows the market will be along soon.My CS (owned from new) has become faster and smoother i.e. better at 10k miles than at say 3k miles. Save your money and dont be scared of units that might have doen 10k (2k a year for crying out loud)!
The main area of interest on a CS is the condition of the brakes as they are very expensive to keep genuine. However, they dont wear out fast at all. I would say that brake wear really does indicate hard driving.
The stripe> I spent ages deciding whether or not to have one as when new you have the choice. I decided not to as I knew I could get a sticker for less than £3k in 2004! I personally have never seen the need for the stripe and even Ferrari themselves never repeated the graphic choosing a far more sedate option for the Scud. In my opinon it only looks right on the yellow and light metallic blue cars.
Bottom line for a CS prospective buyer>
Its a good useable ferrari car with low yearly running cost. Most CS owners hang onto the cars (hence my other thread) rather than ride around for six months and buy the 'next great thing' and thats worth thinking about i guess.
