I've seen some pics up on a VW forum and there's a Golf MK4 with what I think are Reventon seats and Lambo Brakes, the owner also professes to have the engine and clocks too!

He's claiming to have original Reventon seats out of a Reventon? But why? It's not a Lamborghini.....ahhh each to their own.

Obviously the disks would be too big (and carbon) so it is feasible - they certainly look like retrimmed reventon seats and i guess they could be the calipers too?

Those are Gallardo wheels and brakes. Is there any wheel/brake combination that has not been tried yet on a Golf???

I'm not sure if those seats are real there's something just not quite right about them. I have never understood why these people spend so much money on "normal cars". The fact is a golf is a good, nice car, but why would you spend so much money on it? I once went to a maxpower show with a friend getmecoat and some of the cars had had insane amounts of money spent on them, £10k, £20k easy. Why oh why would you do that? You could have BMW for that some of money!

lambo_xx - its done out of a pasion for cars and to be diferent basically, and the "you could have bought....." statement doesnt really work. as most of these cars are done and perfected over many many years and there are not many ppl out there that would consider not having a car for 4 years and then putting every penny they had in a pot then buying a "BMW". its not about having a good run around its about individuality. "YOU OWN A LAMBO" for that money you could have bought a nice top of the range M5 (or 2) or a aston. both nice cars but god there boring LMAO. (btw the lambo choice is ALWAYS the correct choice)

most ppl (inc myself) cant afford in your face cars so they do what they have the means to do basically. the vw scene is very big worldwide, and you have to really step up to be noticed. this obviously "got noticed". it more about the style and workmanship also that has to be admired here. tbh modded car shows, most of the paintwork would put ANY supercars paint to shame.

edit:- ok lambo_xx you dont have a lambo according to forum garage,,,,sorry

What he said! lol

that looks better than a normal Golf interior to me!

I'm guessing he got the wheels (etc) off a crashed / burned Gallardo.

The seats are a good copy smile

Looks relatively tasteful to me.

My honest opinion is that it's a golf, to modify it is fine and the mods could look good - if they didn't have the lambo badges, that's just silly!

Don't forget to some people Lamborghini's are just fast Audi's part of the VAG Group, so in a twisted sort of way he might think he has the new baby Lambo saloon.

It's a good conversion, and he's obviousely spent a lot of money on it, but I agree just leave the Lambo badges off.

As said above this is perhaps deeper than first thought.

In the VW scene the extended family of the 'VAG' group is fully embraced and it is not uncommon for whole interiors, engines, transmissions, wheels or just parts to be chopped about to suit.

V dubs can be found with audi engines, porsche seats and door handles, Bentley wheels and more recently components from lamborghini, you'd be amazed at how well they all fit together.. wink

Throw Seat and Skoda into the mix and prepare to take even more offence...biggrin

Fair enough, you know what they say, Different Horses for Different Courses! Personally I don't like modified cars, I could count on one hand the amount of mod'd cars I've seen that actually look better than they did standard (although obviously changing the wheels or stereos is different).

As I said earlier everyone is different but for me I wouldn't ever waste my money on this sort of thing, give me a nice BMW any day over a Golf with wheels that cost more than the car and replica Lamborghini seats! Oh and a massive insurance premium.

in relation to this i was at gti international a few years back when the lambo'd gti golf mk5 was doing the rounds, and there was an audi TT mk1 with maybach alloys on it, it is also common place to see merc wheels on VW's

I have a Golf and I agree with this. It's a Golf, nothing more nothing less. End of the day no matter how much you do and spend, it's a golf.

With all due respect guys, how do you know those seats are not the real thing? I have seen many a customised car over the years with parts that are far rarer that a set of Revention seats.
