Got my first 328 GTB (87 1200 miles) some 14 years ago then had to sell for one reason or another, then shortly afterwards found a 328 GTS (89 79 miles!) again another house move so that reluctantly had to go..
Well roll on another chunk of years and probably 50 cars and I am back in my favorite - 328 GTB (89 2400 miles)
I have been blinking lucky enough to own some absolutely stunning cars inc 355s Porsche 993turbo/ 997rs and even a 6 ltr Diablo but there is something about the old 328. Obviously it is a thing of beauty, in my eyes the most pleasing shape ever produced, but there are other small things which seem to be present no longer found in modern cars. Some might argue 'thank god' but I think these odd small things are special giving a sense of occasion every time you go in or even near one - they even have thier own distinct smell!!
This being my third and bearing in mind it is now 20 years old will be treated and cared for like the true classic it is, cruising only.. Please note I am not totally losing the plot as I still have my crazy 3000bhp EVO nutter rice rocket thingy to scare myself in!!

Congrats on the new car!
I agree that the 308/328 is a truly beutiful car. Not sure about cruising only though! they were designed to be driven and I find that the balance of performance as compared to the compromises is quite good. Fast enough to leave most modern things and slow enough not to put you in jail!
