I'm considering buying a 430 Spider - I've seen one on here for sale by Carrs of Exeter - the car's black with black leather and has been for a sale for a while - I spoke with another dealer who said the reason it's not sold is due to the black interior i.e nobody wants this combination and it'd be far better with either a light (sabia?) or red interior and this is the reason it's not sold -I must admit black/black doesn't bother me at all, in fact I find it quite appealing - he suggested the car would be extremely difficult to re-sell ( obviously he's not selling it at the moment and I have a feeling he'd have a different opinion if he were !?)

1. Any opinions on Black/Black ?

2. Any opinions on dealing with Carrs of Exeter ?

Thanks

Peely

I would think another reason is because it's also a manual, looks good though.
If it suited me and I liked it, I'd buy it, stuff what other people say it's your money and you who looks at it and drives it everyday !

Carrs are withoubt doubt the best Ferrari dealer I've dealt with and have a very good reputation on Ferrari forums.

In my opinion, black on black is not a good choice for a very young car as they seem to lose value the quickest. This I'm sure is because it's often a very common combination among new buyers who want a car that's a "safe" colour and looks cool. However it's never a signature colour with italian cars and arguably doesn't always do the lines of a beautiful car justice. With lambos, its the black/black gallardos and murcis that appear to always lead the price drops with a few usually around.

But if you like it, go for it!

Black leather goes with any colour so you can re-colour the shell if you get bored (and you're not a purist)

Colour is purely subjective if you ask me. Some people will only want a black interior, others won't.

I think it's a safe but not very flamboyant choice. There are quite a few 355s 360s and 430s with Black interiors so if that's what you want don't be put off.

As for Carrs. Lee and Nigel sold me my car and their customer service is excllent.

They have a straightforward enthusiastic approach and they come across like a small 'family' setup so you get that personal touch.

I would definitely buy from them again.

Was intending to, but 2 weeks before the job was going to be done, I became interested in something else, so never went through with it. When I bought the roadster, the interior colour was a factor as it meant I had future choices. These days, so long as the sun is out, I love the colour. Really weighing up several options at the moment, but not in a hurry to do anything much.
