You tried Chris McGrath at Michele Ward Associates?

01707 266303

Put it this way, I first insured my F355 Spider, at the young age of 24.... For £860?

After hearing endless quotes of £4,500+, I was pretty shocked. Great guy to talk to too. Always very helpful.

elephant car insurance all the way. They came in 250-400GBP better than the best price I got from one of the above brokers...(excess etc was no difference)

I believe Chris may have left MWA - but there are plenty of other guys there that can help. They are generally very good.

I'm with elephant for my 360 and couldn't believe how good their quote was. I also know someone who insures their R8 with elephant.

Hi,

In relation to the views and my own personal experiences with Elephant " I WOULD NOT TOUCH THEM IN A MILLION YEARS FOR YOUR HIGH VALUE P&J". I`ve just been throught a year long saga with them after my 996 GT2 was written off by them as uneconomical to repair..The incident happened last August and I am still to be settled in full. I would not insure with them again, as far as I`m concerned they are cheap until you try to claim..Cars such as Lambo`s, F cars and Porsche ..should be through specialist brokers and co`s, not main stream cheap insurer`s like elephant, admiral and so on.....they also do not do agreed value and use independant valuation when car is written off, way below the "true" market value..

LET THIS BE A TRUE WARNING FROM PAST DEALINGS

And another here... I've always said with insurance you never know the true value of the policy until you come to claim! I used elephant; total loss due to an uninsured driver; near on 18 months for a full settlement to come out! Now use MWA and have had one claim with them (non fault) and they bent over backwards to help and ensure the car was sorted by a proper dealer rather than some tin pot paint company under the arches!

It took over a year to get a payout on my stolen GT3 from Elephant which should have been cut and dry. It took 10 days (over Christmas and New Year) to get a payout on a M5 which was written off insured via MWA .

Spoke to ben at MWA today and quote was very good, after me telling him about other quotes I had got and which companies they were from, one stood out (elephant) and he warned me that on a car like mine I would do well to steer clear of "Internet" based companies because of the same reasons posted above.
Funny that !!

I'm insured with Group AMA through A-Plan. Good service and price and excellent when you need to claim.

I would not use Elephant or any of the other cheap insurers to cover a decent car.

Cant you just sue the living daylights out of them? Take them to court for undervaluation, late settlement, etc?

Insured mine thru NW Brown. Ask for Gareth Harrison or Shaun Lenton. Great to deal with.

another question to ask our cut-price call centre friends is will they use a manufacturer-approved repairer ?
to quote admiral, "no way !"
