Makes me angry to see a car like this with only 5,320 miles on the clock after 19 years!

The owner's probably been too busy out and about using his spidey senses to fight crime

Cars are always more expensive when they've been owned by a superhero - I bought Clark Kents Austin Cambridge last year and it cost me forty grand !

5000 miles or 19 years which would make the fuel cell need replacing lol

if its age it should have had a few

It looks brand new. Will probably make the money. But as soon as you drive it and get it dirty it will loose £100K eek Do you remember the autoglym advert with the F40. According to a mate that car has never been driven. The chap just sits in it and puts on a special pair of slippers to do so. I agree it sounds sacrilidge not to use these wonderful toys but I guess we all get our kicks differently.

No, I don't think it will make this money. Plenty around with 3-5K more mileage at £200K less.
Only a complete fool would pay this amount but as a bargain point I guess it's worth a go e.g. When someone buys for 300K (only 50K above the market) you can respond with: "you've knocked me down £150K, what a great deal you've got..."

I read an article once about a Ferrari owner who spent alot of money having his car restored (can't remember which model), and had all the welds re-done to make them perfect.
When it was finished he entered a concours event convinced he was going to win due to the money he'd spent.
The first thing the judges did was mark the car down for the quality of the welds as they were too good and not to the same standard as it left the factory!.

It's the same one as used to be featured in the Autoglym ads, is it not? If so that was only up for sale last year or the year before as I recall by that bloke who obviously took fastidious care of it. However, I think it was on the market for bang on market value (i.e. £250k). This must be a chancer.

The best value f40 i've seen recently was the one that sold last year on ph. it had suffered a minor un recorded engine bay fire and had been shipped back to italy for a full 12 month concourse rebuild. From the pics i saw of it, it looked every bit as good as this one and was under 200k.
