Ferrari 458 Italia Prices Revealed

Leaked doc offers unofficial prices for 458 and options

The 458 Italia - do you care how much it is?
The 458 Italia - do you care how much it is?
The Ferrari 458 Italia will cost £175,364 with VAT in the UK - at least according to an unofficially leaked document that has found its way onto the web.

In fact, the Sterling prices being quoted on the leaked document (pictured) appear to be a simple translation of the Euro price for an Italian-spec 458 - which does seem to tally with the 'close to €200k' indication (inc. 21% Italian sales tax) given at the Frankfurt motor show last month.

Prices for Ferrari's F430 replacement are not scheduled to be released officially here in the UK until November, but we suspect the final UK entry price might creep upwards as Ferrari GB tends to provide extras like a 4th year warranty, Satellite Tracking, electric seats, parking cameras, etc. as part of the 'standard' package.

Prancing Horse shields £1,055... (TBC)

Still, another 10 grand to the average 458 buyer will presumably be a relatively incidental expense, so the final UK numbers may be relatively academic!

However, it's always fun looking at Ferrari price-lists and picking out 'must have' items... A pair of Prancing Horse badges on the front wings is yours for an extra £1,055 for instance, while paint colours from Ferrari's 50s and 60s colour charts will be available for £7,589. All 'TBC' of course, but you get the picture.

The McLaren suddenly got a little better looking! £180k when specced is a lot of money for what Ferrari class as their 'entry level' spots car.

How on earth do they come up with those option prices?? It looks like they've just picked some big numbers out of the air for most things... £2k for harnesses?! £600 for an Ipod connection?!

Yikes. I just specced one up to how I would want it and without being over gluttonous it came to £200,077. That's a lot of money.

They work out the average gullibility of their target buyers and multiply the cost of each item by an unfeasibly large number!

Seriously - this looks like it'll be an excellent car, but a £200k car?!? Come off it... rolleyes

Phew !!!

A price rise of £40,000

The F430 is quoted at £135,230

The 458 at £175,364

One must assume that there will be a new 'entry level' Ferrari on its way in a couple of years.

My guess ? - A V6 hybrid

When i saw the cost of Scuderia shields on the 430 i thought the same - but then i saw that they are enamel badges, recessed into the wings. So you're getting different wings, and badges...

So in 2 gen's the 'base' Ferrari has gone from around £102k ish in 360 form to £175k ish in 458 form?!

I suppose if they can get away with it, all the better for them. But that makes a Gallardo look quite a buy (although I appreciate you can load them to the hilt with options as well!) and a 997 Turbo a relative bargain.

No thanks Ferrari, if I had the cash I wouldn't...

How can they justify £600 for an i-Pod interface? I wouldn't mind (if I had the cash) paying big money for the Ferrari engineering in the car but how can a component like this be more expensive? Even if I had all the money I could dream of it would still annoy me to pay so much for some of those options (maybe).

Couldn't agree more Dave and not because I'm slightly biased.

Just over £80k for that car. Thankfully P's pricing hasn't gone particularly stratospheric just yet.

It's a bit like the paint.

Metallic paint on a normal car is usually around £400. On this it's nearer £2500.

Yes it's a Ferrari. Yes, they don't use st paint. But it's not like it's painted by virgin princesses using their pubic hair. It's a robotic paint shop using good paint.
The process is still the same for metallic and solid paint so, even taking into account that it's a Ferrari I'd still only expect £1k tops....

Just what I was thinking, but if you can afford £175,364, are you really concerned about the extras?
