What is wrong with my brain
Discussion
So I bought a stunning 550 Maranello a month back, a car I've been dreaming of since I first saw it debut at the Paris motorshow and saving for ever since - it's fabulous.
Why on earth then am I always dreaming / thinking about 355 F1 Berlinetta's and 360 F1 Modena's with capristo exhausts...
Maybe what I always wanted was more of a howling racing car or maybe i should stfu and save for one of those as well...?

Because you're more than likely the same as all of us petrolheads. No sooner do I buy the car that I've wanted for years do I then start thinking about what I'm gonna buy next.
I'd love to change the 355 for a 550 as I've always liked the idea of having a front-engined V12.
If you do change, let me know if it was worth it.
Sorry if that doesn't help your current predicament!!

you've already got the daddy (with a Tubi, which I know must sound awesome. Why hanker after little bro' who is 4 cylinders short? The 355 has no better interior, and in my opinion is not quite so elegant.
The 360 may be newer and more "modern", with that spine tingling howl, but does it have class. Will it become a revered classic.
Only one the the tree has won Evo car of the decade.
Are you a grass is always greener type?

That's right - "Car of the Decade", beating a Zonda and 2 GT3's I recall, not to mention the NSX Type R. They must be good! The 360 may be newer and more "modern", with that spine tingling howl, but does it have class. Will it become a revered classic.

Not a grass is greener type, but was having a moment where I looked at the money that I shelled out from savings and wanted to be certain before I run a shed load of miles onto it and devalue it...
So I drove an R8 yesterday and I couldn't wait to get back in the F - it felt only marginally more special than the wife's A4 cab - I think I am falling in love with my 550 all over again!

Well count yourself lucky that you can afford one Ferrari!! I'll never be able to afford one and will just have to stick with my 1tr Yaris.
If you have that attitude to life you're probably right, you will never own a Ferrari. You should be saying when, not if!!Midds said:

If you have that attitude to life you're probably right, you will never own a Ferrari. You should be saying when, not if!!Perfectly normal behaviour. Regardless of the car I buy, I tend to last a month before I am thinking about the next move and wondering how much I could sell it for and how much more I would need to move into this or that. Takes a small amount of the enjoyment away, but I have never been able to shake it... Perhaps I have just not found the right car?!
