I'm planning to have a look at their 355 gts. its an f1 on an S (98). firstly, am i right in thinking that the F1 box was pretty well sorted by 98? and secondly, any general thoughts on walker sport as i havent had any dealings with them previously.

I bought a 355GTS from Tim Walker. I'd have absolutely no hesitation in reccomending him. He described the car absolutely perfectly, the handover was as thorough as I can ever remember having and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with in every way.

In addition, the backup from him (even rang me on a sunday evening to check all ok) has been second to none. He is also extrememly knowledgable & I'd trust that any car he has purchased to sell on will be a good one.

Good luck. I'm loving mine.

Think it is fair to say that Tim gets lots of thumbs up from everyone I have seen him have dealings with across a few different Forums.

Hi John

TIm has a very good reputation. As for the F1 I love mine and can't see why there seems to be a negative view if it, perhaps too many urban myths smile the only thing it could do better is the time it takes to select reverse.

I think my Maser QP had a v similar gearbox to the 355F1 system and once you got used to it it was fine. It took a few days to learn how to drive it smoothly and get the most out of it but was a lot of fun in the process. I think you'd need to try it but dont judge it on initial impressions.

i had 3 X19's, all with ferrari key fobs. saw one recently, unbelievably small, i used to hit 110 in mine. frightening.

ha, the jeeps were just ferries. Yeah i remember showing off to my mate in thr X19 when we were about 19, literally as I said "quick isnt it", the entire exhaust system fell out. Hilarious.

Good luck with the 355, fantastic cars. that one looks almost same as mine.

I got my 360 from Tim - the transaction was smooth, he was a nice guy and the car has been spot on so far. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Is Tim the same one that races a 250GT Lusso?

Craig's 355 is sublime; classically restrained colour combo in the finest silhouette yet penned by man (car-wise.)

Bad choice as he's a self confessed 348-ophobe biggrin
